Search by title, author, or ISBN, or type in the details yourself.
Combine tags to match exactly what a patron asked for. Search stacks with your filters.
Import or export your full collection, edit an individual book's tags without re-adding it, or start over.
Add, search, or remove tags in each category. You can also rename a tag or merge two together, and both apply to every book that has that tag. Removing a tag takes it off every book too, and there's no undo, so it'll ask you to confirm.
The starting tags are just a default. Rename or remove any of them to match your library's own community and policies. Identity / rep starts empty so you can add the terms your library uses.
Everything stays on this computer. There are no accounts, no cookies and no tracking, and nothing you enter is ever sent to me.
You don't need to clear your browsing history. It only shows that you visited this site. When you're done, close the tab. That clears your printable list and anything you typed.
To remove your collection, first save a copy if you want to keep it (Settings → Import / export collection → Export as CSV). Then choose one:
On a shared computer, keep track of your CSV files. Exported files usually go to the Downloads folder, where anyone who uses the same sign-in can open them. Move them to your own storage, such as a network drive or USB stick, and delete the copy in Downloads.
Twice a year, for one week in May and one week in November, a small note asking for support appears in the Import / export windows. To avoid showing it to you repeatedly, your browser saves the date it last appeared. Nothing about you is recorded or sent anywhere. Contributions are optional, go through Buy Me a Coffee, and aren't tax-deductible. The Buy me a coffee link at the bottom of the page is always there if you'd like to give at another time.
More Reads, Please is built and maintained by one person. Support helps cover the domain, hosting and improvements.
Your browser can erase your collection without warning. Many shared computers clear saved data when you sign out, and some browsers (Safari included) may remove it after a stretch without visits or when you clear your history. Export a CSV from Settings regularly. The same file lets you move your collection to another computer with Import from CSV.
More Reads, Please is a free tool provided as-is, without any warranty. You're responsible for keeping backups of your collection.
I built More Reads, Please for a friend who works in public libraries. I spent a little over seven years as a librarian before moving into product design. AI helped with the code, but the ideas and design decisions came from that experience and from feedback. The tool itself uses no AI: nothing you search, tag or type is sent to an AI service.
Have an idea or found a problem? Send feedback. I read everything, and suggestions from librarians shape what gets improved next.
This list exists only for this visit, and closing or reloading clears it. Use Print / Save as PDF to keep a copy for the patron. Genre and tag details are for your own reference only. They won't appear on the printed page.
Nothing is saved yet. Resolve anything flagged below, then apply the import.

Changes save when you click Save tags below.
Recommended: grab both, since this resets your tag categories too, not just the books.
Recommended: your tag categories stay put, but the books themselves can't be recovered once deleted.
Move your tagged books in or out as a CSV file. Handy for backups, or for sharing your collection with another librarian.
A twice-a-year note from the person who built this.
I made More Reads, Please for a friend who works in public libraries and needed a faster way to build reading lists with tags that fit her collection. I'm a former librarian (MLIS) who now designs privacy-focused software, so I built it to keep you in control: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and your data never leaves your computer. If it's saved you time with a reader, a small contribution helps cover the domain, hosting and ongoing improvements. This note shows up for one week each May and November, and then it's gone.
